What the Harmonization Studio does

You bring a melody — sung, played over MIDI or imported as a file — and the studio works out the chords that fit under it. Not one canned progression, but several whole harmonisations, each with its own character: plain and diatonic, or with borrowed chords and secondary dominants.

It is a chord progression generator that starts from your tune rather than from a template. Nothing is overwritten while you compare: every version stays until you pick one.

A microphone, a MIDI keyboard or a MusicXML file — any of the three is enough. The studio hears the tune, finds the key and the scale it lives in.
Several whole harmonisations
One press gives you options, not a single answer: a plain diatonic reading, a jazzier one with substitutions, a modal one. Compare them side by side — nothing is overwritten.
Then fix any bar by hand
Generation is a starting point, not a verdict. Any chord can be swapped bar by bar — the circle on the left shows which chords fit that spot and why.

How do I find chords for my melody?
Sing it into the microphone, play it on a MIDI keyboard or import a MusicXML file. The studio finds the key, then offers several complete harmonisations — you listen and choose. Any bar can be changed afterwards.
Do I need to know music theory?
No. Humming is enough to get a result. But every chord is shown with its degree and function, so the theory comes along quietly — after a few pieces you start seeing why a particular chord fits.
Can I change a chord the studio picked?
Yes — bar by bar, as often as you like. Generation is a draft, not a verdict: the circle shows which chords fit that place, you hear each one in context and keep the one you meant.
How is this different from a chord progression generator?
A progression generator hands you a ready-made sequence and leaves you to fit a tune onto it. Here it goes the other way: your melody comes first, and the chords are chosen to sit under those particular notes — which is why the same tune can get several different, equally valid harmonisations.
