Quests
Quests are guided lessons that take you through music theory one step at a time — from reading a chord symbol to hearing how a progression resolves. Each quest mixes short explanations with exercises you play, sing or click through, and it remembers where you stopped.
How quests work
Built from short tasks
A quest is a sequence of tasks. A task can ask you to build a chord on the circle, name an interval by ear, transcribe a short melody or answer a question about what you have just heard. Tasks are deliberately short — most of them take under a minute.
Your progress is saved
Progress is stored with your account, so a quest can be paused and picked up later on any device. Completed tasks award experience points, which raise your level and move you up the leaderboard.
A quest is not the same as a challenge
A challenge is a single exercise you can take at any moment and repeat as often as you like. A quest is a route through several of them, held in order and remembered between sessions, so it can span days. Both award experience points, and both open from the app once you are signed in.
The catalogue depends on your account
Which quests you see depends on who you are: teachers assign quests to their groups, and some quests belong to a particular course or school. Sign in to see the ones that are open to you.
